FROG TAPE – Have you ever used blue painter’s tape, only to remove it and find that it did not do its job and your woodwork has paint all over it? That is because painter’s tape does not have PaintBlock technology, which is a chemical additive that creates a barrier to block paint bleed. If you want clean straight lines this is a must for any paint project. Use the yellow version on delicate surfaces such as hardwood floors.
KRUD KUTTER – This is a cleaner/degreaser that is environmentally friendly, strong enough to clean most stains, and gentle enough to not worry about damaging surfaces. We use the concentrate diluted 50/50 for cleaning scuff marks off walls and to soak our paint brushes after a hard day at the office. Full strength works great to clean trim. We have done a side by comparison on more than one occasion where this product has saved us a coat by providing better adhesion.
FESTOOL HEPA DUST EXTRACTOR/VACUUM SANDER COMBO – Probably not something you NEED unless you are dealing with lead-based paint or do a lot of woodworking. But it is EXTREMELY useful for day to day control of dust and surface prep. We consider this the best possible insurance policy for having a clean workplace.
SHERWIN WILLIAMS CASHMERE PAINT IN LOW LUSTER – Cashmere is the most versatile wall paint I can think of, and also the most forgiving. We go back to Cashmere over and over because of it’s smooth finish, great hide, and ability to touch up for years on end without significant color degradation.
SHERWIN WILLIAMS DURATION PAINT IN SEMI-GLOSS – Duration is easy to work with, has wonderful coverage, is extremely durable, and sticks to EVERYTHING- including oil-based paint. This product costs a little more than the average trim paint but it well worth the sticker price.
PPG PITTSBURGH BREAKTHROUGH PAINT IN SEMI-GLOSS – We find this paint to be a real “breakthrough” when it comes to refinishing cabinets. It provides a rock-hard industrial coating that sticks like glue and dries almost instantly to allow for multiple coats in a single day. We love this product because it allows us to give our customers their kitchens back in a timely fashion, without having to compromise on quality.
