How Long Should I Wait Before Hanging Pictures?
Just Add Paint suggests that clients wait at least 24 hours before hanging pictures and paintings on walls that have been freshly painted. In conditions of high humidity, 72 hours can be an even safer bet! While the walls will feel dry to
the touch much sooner, hangings apply angular pressure to the wall. Paint that feels dry
to the touch will often still be sticky enough to be damaged by this pressure. While it is exciting
to re-decorate the finished wall, it is better to wait a little longer and make sure the wall STAYS
beautiful!
